How to deternine if a Legacy policy is eligible for reinstatement
- Was the call/payment received within 30 days of the processed cancellation date? No? Decline. If yes, move forward.
- Was the policy cancelled for underwriting reasons? Yes? Decline. If not, move forward.
- Are there any “Do not reinstate” comments in Mainframe? Yes? Decline. If not, move forward.
- Are there any OPEN claims? Yes? Decline. If not, move forward.
- Are there any CLOSED claims within the term that you are reinstating? Yes? Decline. If not, move forward.
- Using the following chart determine how many reinstatements their state is allowed within a rolling 12 months, then review how many times they have been reinstated within the last 12 months.
